Helping people get their lives back is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
I believe sexual, bladder and pelvic health are important parts of living well. Whether it’s enjoying an active lifestyle, travelling with confidence, recovering after prostate surgery, maintaining intimacy, or simply getting through the day without pain or worry, how your body functions has a profound influence on your quality of life.
That’s why I chose to dedicate my career to pelvic health.
“People are often deeply relieved to discover that their concerns are valid, that they’re not alone, and that there may be more options available than they realised.”
More than three decades of clinical experience.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 1994 and have spent more than three decades helping people improve the way their bodies function.
For much of my career, my practice focused on musculoskeletal physiotherapy and acupuncture, developing a strong understanding of movement, pain and rehabilitation. That foundation continues to influence how I approach pelvic health today, because the pelvic floor doesn’t function in isolation.
Over the past decade I’ve progressively focused my practice on pelvic health, undertaking extensive postgraduate education throughout New Zealand and Australia, combining broad musculoskeletal expertise with advanced assessment and treatment of sexual dysfunction, bladder and bowel disorders, pelvic pain and recovery after prostate surgery.
Learning has never been something I consider complete. Every patient deserves the benefit of the best knowledge and tools available.
There isn’t one patient story that defines my career. There have been hundreds.
Every person arrives with a different challenge and a different goal. For some, it’s returning to exercise without leaking. For others, it’s travelling with confidence, recovering intimacy after prostate surgery, sleeping through the night, overcoming pelvic pain, or simply no longer thinking about the problem that once dominated their daily life.
The most rewarding moments aren’t measured by treatment milestones. They’re the conversations where someone tells me they’re living more freely because the issue that once held them back no longer defines their day.
Successful treatment isn’t simply about improving symptoms. It’s about helping people regain the freedom to get back to living.
I’ll listen carefully.
I’ll treat your concerns with respect.
I’ll explain things clearly and honestly.
I’ll take the time to understand what matters most to you.
I’ll recommend only what I believe is appropriate for your circumstances.
And I’ll involve you in every decision we make together.
